SureTemp® Thermometer Calibration Key for 690/692
Whenever the clinical accuracy of the thermometer is in question, verify the instrument calibration. It is recommended the unit be tested annually.
This method uses a fixed value to verify that the device is calibrated properly.
1. Remove any probe currently connected to the SureTemp® Plus Thermometer.
2. Connect the SureTemp® Calibration Key.
3. Wait one minute for the device to enter Monitor mode and display the temperature.
4. The temperature should read 36.3 +/- 0.1ºC or 97.3 +/- 0.2ºF.
5. Remove the SureTemp® Calibration Key.
6. Connect the original probe back to the device.
